| Summer League Games at the Grimes Sports Plex - July 28th |
We will play both games on Wednesday July 28th at 6:15 and 7:15 at the Grimes Sports Plex
Hello All,
Again this week the George Flagg Parkway Road is flooded cutting us off from our summer league fields at Water Works Park. So, we will be playing our summer league games this Wednesday July 28th at the Grimes Sports Plex. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF IT IS RAINING ON WEDNESDAY DURING OUR GAMES, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY AT THESE FIELDS AND WE WILL HAVE TO CANCEL SUMMER LEAGUE. A posting on www.iowaultimate.com and an email will be sent out by 5 pm if we are NOT going to be able to play at the Sports Plex.
Assuming that everything works out, please make sure you allow extra time to get to the fields so we can start the games on time!
I would ask everyone to help us out with the following:
1. THERE IS NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED AT THE PARK, ON THE FIELDS, OR IN THE PARKING LOT.
2. Please do not bring glass containers to the fields.
3. Please pick up after yourself and your team.
4. If at all possible, please leave your pets at home. If they must come, they must stay on their leash and the leash can not be longer than 6 feet.
5. Please park only the designated parking area.
6. Watch your SPEED. You have been warned! Law enforcement often is found on the edge of town and close to the park.
7. And most importantly, please respect the fields. We do have to pay to play at the fields and this is our trial night. We want to make sure that if we need to use the fields again that we can.
8. THERE IS NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED AT THE PARK, ON THE FIELDS, OR IN THE PARKING LOT. (Just in case someone missed it)
9. Please spread the word to your teammates so everyone knows!
Directions
The Sport Plex is located at South James Street & South 6th Street in Grimes, IA 50111.
From Des Moines: Link to Google Maps Driving Directions
Take 141 North to NW 19th/NW 62 Ave (approx 1.5 miles), turn left. Take 19th to James (1.0 mile), turn right on 128th (0.3 miles), 128th becomes James when you get into Grimes. Complex is on the edge of town on the left side of James. Parking located at the far end as well as around the large playground area.
From Ames: Link to Google Maps Driving Directions
Those coming from Ames, might come down Hwy 17 or the back roads through Polk City. If they come through town, they will need to turn left at the stop sign by Casey and take the detour down 1st. South James is closed for a couple blocks but opens about 4 blocks down.
Again, please make sure you get to the fields as early as possible so we can get the games started on time!

Hello All,
Summer League 2010 is here!
WHERE:
NOTE: The first night of Summer League will be on WEDNESDAY, MAY 19thWHEN:
First Night -
Registration will begin at 5:15 pm at the shelter house in the back part of Water Works Park.
You will receive your shirt and disc that first night.
We will be playing one game that first night.
The game will start at 7:15 pm. Games will be played to 9 points or time capped at 8:00 pm
Weeks 2 – 11
Game 1 will start at 6:15 pm – 7:00 pm
Game 2 will start at 7:15 pm – 8:00 pm
Action Required READ, PRINT, SIGN:
There are a couple of printed forms that you will need to bring with you to register for Summer League.
You will not receive your shirt or disc without filling out the forms and paying the registration fee.
Please make sure that you PRINT and bring the following:
1. The Check List ( Click HERE )
2. Waiver(s) shown on the check list
3. Cash or Check (payable to TRENT TROYER )
What you should have with you the first night:

| Summer League 2010 Sign up is NOW OPEN! |
The signup form is ready for 2010. Please click HERE or pick the SIGNUP link on the left hand side to start. Please make sure that you fill out ALL the information before submitting the form. There are 2 important things to remember this year.
1. The cost will be $35, if you signup by 4/25/2010. The fee will increase to $40 AFTER 4/25/2010, and will increase to $45 AFTER 5/19/2010. (Players will not be allowed to signup after JULY 1st, 2010 - without special circumstances )
2. If you are under 18 (you must be at LEAST 14 years old by May 19th, 2010), you will need to make sure that you fill out a Medical Authorization waiver in addition to the normal waiver before you will be allowed to play. Have a question that you need answered before signing up?

Please note: You will receive an email confirming your summer league sign up, so please double check that you have typed in the correct email address. This will also be the email that we will be using for contacting you and providing updates about summer league.

Wednesday Indoor Ultimate

Starting Wednesday Dec. 16th, 2009We will be playing the next 11 weeks indoors
at Champions Sports Center from 9:30 pm - 11:30 pm
We have worked out a deal with Champions Sports Center (formally SportsPlex South) to allow us to play indoors ultimate for the next 11 weeks from 9:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
The days are:
Dec 16, 23, 30
Jan 6, 13, 20, 27
Feb 3, 10, 17, 24
As we said, we had to work out a deal with Champions Sports Center.
1. We had to pay the money upfront.
2. We need to have EVERYONE that plays sign a waiver before playing.
3. You MUST carry in your playing shoes. ( You can NOT play in the sames shoes that you came in. )
What you required from you:
1. Since we have paid Champions Sports Center $1000 upfront, we will be collecting $5 per person per night. IF YOU PLAY YOU PAY. Please make sure you bring your money every week!
2. Everyone needs to fill out a waiver. Please download and fill it out. You can find it here: Champions Sports Center Waiver
3. You MUST carry in your playing shoes.
4. Please bring a dark and a light shirt. ( please remember a grey shirt is neither a dark or a light shirt )
5. Invite your friends!
Champions Sports Center is located south of where we played Summer League this year. They are located on the Southwest side of the intersection of Park Ave and Valley Drive in Des Moines.

Come join us at the Water Works Park pick up fields for our last two outdoor Wednesday nights.
Pick up will start at 5 pm both Wednesday Oct 21 and Oct 28.
(Due to daylight saving ending on Nov. 1st 2009, the last Wednesday night outdoor pick up will be Oct. 28th 2009! We will continue to have outdoor Sunday pick up at 3 pm as long as we can.)

| Hello All,
There are some very important dates that go along with sign up. Please read if you have not signed up yet!
If you sign up online BEFORE April 26, 2009 ( that is this Sunday ) you will:
1. Only pay $35 for the season.
2. A Disc
3. You will get the shirt size that you selected on the sign up form.
4. If you put someone down as a teammate, we will do our best to match you and them ( if they have also picked you )
5. You will be placed on a team sometime before 5/1/2009.
If you sign up online AFTER April 26, 2009 but BEFORE May 20th, 2009 you will get:
1. To pay MORE - it will be $40 for the season.
2. A Disc
3. We will TRY to get the shirt size that you requested, but no guarantees.
4. We will NOT match you will anybody as teammate.
If you sign up AFTER May 20th, 2009 you will need a special link to sign up and you will get:
1. To pay EVEN More - it will be $45 for the season.
2. A Disc
3. You will get whatever shirt sizes that are left
4. We will NOT match you will anybody as teammate.
There will be no sign up after July 2nd, 2009 without special circumstances.
Currently we have decided to play Summer League 2009 at Water Works Park with the DMACC fields as a backup.
Water Works has informed us that we might lose our fields if they decide to make a no-leash dog park. We will try to
communicated any fields changes as soon as we know.

Hello Potential Summer League 2009 Ultimate Players,
Just a quick note to let you know that sign up for 2009 summer league will open shortly on the www.iowaultimate.com website. (You will receive another email letting you know when the site will be ready.) But this is not why I am emailing you today. One item that we need to capture is your current ( 2009 ) UPA number. If you are planning on being a UPA member for the 2009 year but have not taken the time to update your membership, please make your way out to https://www.upa.org/members/login.php and follow the instructions. ( I just completed mine in under 15 minutes with the use of Paypal. ) If you have already updated your membership for this year, please have you UPA number handy when you get ready to sign up for summer league.
