There will be two chances for Pick up on July 4th.
@ 1 pm on July 4th there will be pick up in Norwalk, IA.
The Norwalk fields we play on are right off of the main drag. HWY 28 ( also called Sunset Drive ) and Wright Rd. There is a brown sign that reads "Mcaninch Sport Complex" on the right side of the road. Turn up that, and the sports complex is on the left. If anyone has any questions about Norwalk ultimate, give Paul (712.541.1577) or Gerard (563.340.8118) a call.

Summer League Field Location

July 2nd
Again, we will be having Summer League at the DMACC Campus. Please FOLLOW THE PARKING INSTRUCTIONS!!
The fields will be the large open space south of the east entrance. People should park in the lots around building 14 near the east entrance. Lots A, D, H, and K look pretty big. Anyone parking on the road will be ticketed and/or towed.

Instructions to get to DMACC:

Go North on I35 towards Ankeny. Take the second exit for Ankeny.
From the North (Ames):
Go South on I35 towards Ankeny. Take the second exit for Ankeny.
For All:
Go West on SE Oralabor Rd.
Turn right (North) onto S. Ankeny Blvd
Turn into the East entrance for parking.
Games will be at their normal time.

| Bearfoot Classic - Hat Tournament
A Message from: Michael Terpstra
The bear foot classic is a sweet freakin hat tournament that will take place on the 12th of July at either the Ames intermural fields or DMACC's fileds depending on who is cheaper. Here is how it is going to go:
1. I will be getting sweet shirts of various colors will be provided to indicate teams. So be sure to get me your size.
2. Choose which category you are in:
A. women- please come!
B. recreational- you have never played in college, but you might play on a summer league team. You have heard of a forehand, backhand, and force are
C. intermediate- you have played 1 or 2 years of college or club ultimate and you can throw decently and can feel confident in know where to cut.
D. expert-you have been playing 2 or 3 or more years and you feel confident in your throwing ability and a fine sense of ultimate in general.
3. If you are FOR SURE going to show up and play on saturday morning (July 12th) e-mail me since it will be a big downer if number are thrown off because people didn't show. So if you are commin you must e-mail dm_hat@live.com
4. If you have any questions please call me at 319-481-8514.
5. The projected cost so far is $15. please send me the money by check to 1770 92nd street apt #4305 West Des Moines IA 50266. If you do not pay you do not play. So please pay me.
6. There is a limited amount of people that can be in this hat tournament and a limited time for me to get the shirt orders in. so please send all e-mails confirming that you are coming to me by June 30th.
7. Depending on the number of people and teams there should be 2 pools followed by a single elimination champ bracket.
please for the love of god don't play bare foot.

Summer League Games Status
for June 18th |
| Thanks to Jon Staron we have a place to play Summer League tonight. It will be in Ankeny, IA at the DMACC campus. More informations will be sent on how to get there and where to park. (Please follow the instructions in the next email - we have been warned that illegal parking will result in tickets being issues.)
We will be playing the 6/18/2008 scheduled games!

On horn, finish point, if tied play next point.
Next point starts as soon a score is completed.
UPA Lightning Rules
If games are called for weather -
If the total of the lowest scoring game has 5 pts played, all games count
Injuries
If the injured person can be moved from the field, the game will continued
otherwise wait. If the game is called and the total pts played is 5 or more
the game counts.
Games will be cancelled at 5 pm
The message will be sent by text message, email, and posted on the website.
Forfeits
Forfeits will count games as 9 - 0
Number Of Women
a. . The defense will try and match the offense
Lack of player
a. Teams short player can choose to play
b. Opponents not obligated to match ( can play 7 )

| For those that still have not paid your registration fee: Please try and be at the fields by 5:30 pm
Action Required:
There are a couple of printed forms that you will need to bring with you to register for Summer League.
You will not receive your shirt or disc without filling out the forms and paying the registration fee.
Please make sure that you PRINT and bring the following:
1. The Check List ( use this page to find your name: http://www.iowaultimate.com/dm/Findname.asp )
2. Waiver(s) shown on the check list
3. Cash or Check (payable to TRENT TROYER )
What you should have with you the first night:
- 1 printed Check List
- 1 printed Waiver (Filled out)
- Cash or a check made out to TRENT TROYER for the amount of money on the Check List
- If you are under 18 you will also need - 2 printed Medical Authorization filled out by your parent(s) or legal guardian(s)

The first night of Summer League will be

| Our first night of Summer League has been moved to TUESDAY, MAY 20th due to a concert at Water Works Park on Wednesday May 21st.
We will return to our normal WEDNESDAY night games on May 28th.

Water Works Park is roughly one mile east of 63rd Street and just north of Park Street. We have a main location west of SW 28th Street, and an Pick-up location east of SW 28th Street. We will be at the Pickup location if the main fields are inaccessible or occupied by other events. Please obey the 20 mph speed limit throughout the park!
